I have mentioned Fr. Richard John Neuhaus and the journal he edited, First Things, on numerous occasions. He and it have been inspirational in my consideration of the Catholic Church and ecumenicity.
His article on death has been posted on the First Things website.

He will lead the ecumenical effort from Heaven. I am sure he is interceding on our behalf before the throne of God. Of course, the Catholic Church teaches that we should not canonize anyone. We never know for sure. But, we can believe and have faith in the promises of Christ and his Church. This is the era of Divine Mercy.
